Hydro21 Association.<\/p><p>Spanning nearly <strong>160 pages<\/strong>, it recounts the main events that took place that year through the eyes of <strong>students from Grenoble INP-ENSE3, experts and This exhibition, which marked Grenoble\u2019s emergence on the international stage as the capital of hydroelectricity, embodied <\/span><b style=\"text-align: start;\">a century of technological progress and economic development<\/b><span style=\"text-align: start;\"> driven by <\/span><b style=\"text-align: start;\">hydropower<\/b><span style=\"text-align: start;\">.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">The 2025 edition of our trade fair provided an opportunity to celebrate the innovation and dynamism that have made Grenoble and the surrounding area a <b>key hub for hydropower and sustainable development.<\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b657074 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"b657074\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">A pioneering source of energy and a unique industrial heritage\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5f4fbd4 elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5f4fbd4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The history of hydroelectricity in Is\u00e8re dates back to <b>1925<\/b>, the year in which the international exhibition dedicated to the <b>&#8220;Houille Blanche&#8221;<\/b> \u2013 a term coined by <b>Aristide Berg\u00e8s<\/b> to refer to <b>hydroelectric power<\/b> \u2013 highlighted the immense potential of this natural resource.<\/p><p>This same term, in contrast to \u2018black coal\u2019, referred to a new form of environmentally friendly energy that had rapidly transformed the Grenoble basin and revitalised the Oisans region. Hydropower had not only enabled <b>industrial and tourist development<\/b>, but had also become a <b>key element of the region\u2019s identity<\/b>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a7f1920 elementor-align-center elementor-widget elementor-widget-button\"
