This year’s newly added JOBS Village embodies the Company Collective’s desire to respond to shortages in certain positions by showcasing company expectations and needs, as well as solutions provided by training bodies, local authorities and placement agencies.

1st PART: ROUND TABLE

Over the past few years, companies and major industries have faced challenges in finding qualified personnel to satisfy their current needs – boilermakers, mechanical and metalworking technicians, positioners, pipe fitters, electronic engineers, etc.

How to hire? Where to hire? Which organisations should be contacted for these hiring needs? How to find, select and convince candidates to join?

Round table – the shared perspectives of training bodies, regional authorities, placement agencies and company heads will allow for pinpointing “hiring keys,” candidate pools and factors that can help attract new hires.

2nd PART:  JOB DATING

Recruiting one or several employees at a single event in a limited amount of time. That’s what the Business Hydro Meetings’ “Job Dating” format provides.

Target: young people between 18 and 25 years old, job seekers, company employees.

Companies: Microenterprises, SMEs, exhibitor MSEs, partners.

This format, which is more efficient than simply sending in a CV, allows candidates to directly meet with recruiters and to physically introduce themselves.

It provides the opportunity for getting to know the company and the position offered by asking questions in person.  Moreover, candidates can benefit from several meetings over a short time, which may help increase their chances of quickly finding a job.

Job dating allows companies to meet many candidates over the shortest possible time frame. The idea is to rapidly identify interesting potential employees in as short a time as possible. As a result, companies get the ability to promote themselves and drum up candidate interest for open positions.
